Water HackWeek

Water Hackweek is a five day workshop that will be held at the University of Washington’s eScience Institute, during which participants will be offered lectures and guided explorations to learn more about using technology to analyze water-related datasets.

A “hackweek” is a model that has been implemented in many different contexts, from startups to the scientific community. They are intensive, interactive, facilitated events that seek to shove together interested individuals from diverse backgrounds in order to foster creativity and the exchange of ideas around a certain topic.

Hopeful participants must apply to the hack week, which costs $100 (plus loading, food, and travel expenses), although the University of Washington has some financial support available based on need.
